Gargles of salt water
According to a research, rinsing or gargling with salt water relieves gingivitis and speeds up the healing process. Salt has antibacterial and antifungal properties and it helps in the growth of bacteria in the mouth. Acts as an anti-inflammatory and reduces the bacteria in the gums that cause inflammation.
Mix one teaspoon of salt in 1 glass of lukewarm water and keep this solution in your mouth for 30 seconds and rinse. Do this 2-3 times throughout the day.
Turmeric gel
A study has shown that turmeric gel prevents the formation of plaque on the gums and teeth and also protects against gingivitis. Turmeric contains a compound called curcumin.
It has anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. After washing your face thoroughly with a brush, apply turmeric gel, leave it for 10 minutes and rinse with clean fresh water.
Aloe vera
Aloe vera is another effective treatment for swollen gums. Make a mouthwash by dissolving 2 teaspoons of aloe vera gel in water and rinse your mouth thoroughly with it.

Cold and hot water
